Vespa engine casings 1949-1951

Vespa single port engine casings circa 1949-1951.

New old stock original item of unknown history.

Apparently appears to be sand cast.

Numbers V9M have not been traced - do you know more?

I picked up this rather interesting early casing a few years ago. It has been pushed together and pulled apart a few times but has no signs what so ever of being used!
